Steel Wall Mounting Enclosures are robust, industrial-grade cabinets designed to house and protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh environments. Typically constructed from cold-rolled steel or stainless steel, these enclosures offer high mechanical resistance and are available with IP ratings up to IP66 or IP67, ensuring protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets. They feature a single or double door design, with options for hinged or removable doors, and are equipped with a 3-point locking system for enhanced security. Internal mounting plates, often made of galvanized steel, allow for flexible installation of components like terminal blocks, PLCs, drives, and power supplies. The enclosures support various cable entry methods via knockouts or gland plates, and can be customized with accessories such as wall mounting brackets, ventilation grilles, and window kits for visual inspection.
These enclosures are primarily used in industrial automation, power distribution, and process control applications. They are ideal for installation in factories, workshops, chemical plants, and outdoor facilities where equipment needs protection from dust, moisture, and mechanical impact. Common sectors include manufacturing, oil and gas, water treatment, and renewable energy, where they house control systems, motor starters, and instrumentation. They are also employed in commercial buildings for housing security systems, fire alarm panels, and telecommunication equipment.
Key subcategories include single-door enclosures, double-door enclosures, and stainless steel enclosures for corrosive environments. Main article codes often follow a pattern like "ELDON-XXXX" where XXXX denotes the size and door configuration, e.g., ELDON-1200 for a 1200x800x300mm single-door model. Other relevant codes include ELDON-1600 for larger double-door units and ELDON-304 for stainless steel variants. These codes are typically structured with a prefix indicating the series, followed by dimensions and material type.
