HITRONIC cabling refers to a specialized range of industrial data and communication cables designed for harsh environments, offering robust performance in terms of signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, and mechanical resilience. These cables typically feature high-quality shielding, such as braided or foil screens, to minimize interference in automated systems. They are available in various configurations, including twisted pair, coaxial, and hybrid designs, with conductor sizes ranging from AWG 22 to AWG 18, and support transmission frequencies up to several hundred megahertz. The cables often comply with standards like PROFINET, EtherCAT, or Industrial Ethernet, ensuring seamless integration into modern automation networks. Their construction includes durable jackets made from materials like PUR or PVC, providing resistance to oils, chemicals, and UV radiation, with temperature ratings from -40°C to +80°C.
HITRONIC cabling is primarily deployed in industrial automation, robotics, machine tools, and process control systems where reliable data transmission is critical. These cables are used in control cabinets, drag chains, and cable trays within manufacturing plants, automotive assembly lines, and logistics centers. They are also essential in energy distribution networks for monitoring and communication between PLCs, drives, and sensors. The cables support applications requiring high-speed data transfer, such as vision systems, real-time control loops, and fieldbus communications, making them ideal for Industry 4.0 environments.
Key subcategories within HITRONIC cabling include HITRONIC HCS (high-flex cables for continuous motion), HITRONIC HTP (twisted pair cables for Ethernet), and HITRONIC HYC (hybrid cables combining power and data). Main article codes often follow a pattern like LA34-xxx-xxxx, where the first digits indicate the cable type (e.g., 100 for HCS, 200 for HTP), and the suffix specifies length or connector options. For example, LA34-100-001 represents a 1-meter high-flex cable. These cables are available in standard lengths of 1, 2, 5, and 10 meters, with custom lengths upon request.
