This source is designed to work directly with LED strips or LED bulbs, which are fed at constant voltage. Working mode constant voltage giving a fixed voltage of 12V if the load is powered at constant voltage and does not overcome the maximum output power.

The series ELG are LED drivers, class I grounded. This version 3 has a ground wire on the input (3 wire). You can order versions in that it uses the chassis of the source as a connection to the earth, removing from the end of the model -3Y. For example ELG-150-12.

This source can operate in either constant current when we connect the LEDs directly to have a voltage within the range of output voltage mode constant current and a working current equal to the output current.
