Los Filtros Armónicos Avanzados (AHF) son soluciones de calidad eléctrica diseñadas para mitigar la distorsión armónica en redes de baja y media tensión, con corrientes nominales desde 6 A hasta 600 A y tensiones de hasta 690 V CA. Estos filtros activos cancelan armónicos generados por cargas no lineales como variadores de frecuencia (VFD), rectificadores y sistemas UPS, garantizando el cumplimiento de normas IEEE 519 o IEC 61000-2-4. Se presentan en configuraciones trifásicas (3P o 3P+N) y ofrecen tiempos de respuesta dinámicos inferiores a 100 µs, con opción de reactancias internas o circuitos de amortiguación pasiva. En el sector, también se conocen como acondicionadores activos de armónicos, filtros de calidad de red o compensadores armónicos.

Estos filtros se instalan en cuadros de automatización industrial, tableros de distribución comercial e infraestructuras críticas como centros de datos u hospitales. Protegen equipos sensibles de la distorsión de tensión, reducen el sobrecalentamiento en transformadores y cables, y mejoran la eficiencia global del sistema. Las aplicaciones típicas incluyen plantas de tratamiento de agua, sistemas HVAC, líneas de fabricación e instalaciones de energías renovables donde se requiere corrección del factor de potencia y mitigación armónica.
