PLDs are designed for real-time control of industrial processes, offering features like ladder logic programming, data logging, alarm management, and recipe handling. They operate at various voltage levels (e.g., 24 VDC, 110-240 VAC) and support multiple communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
