Signal towers and beacons are essential components for visual and acoustic status indication in industrial environments. Lovato Electric offers a comprehensive range of modular signal towers and beacons designed for clear communication of machine states, alarms, and process events. These devices are available with various light modules (fixed, flashing, rotating) and sound modules (continuous or intermittent), typically operating at 24V AC/DC or 230V AC. The modular towers allow stacking up to 7 modules, each with distinct colors (red, green, amber, blue, clear) and lens types. Beacons provide standalone signaling with high-intensity LED or incandescent sources, often featuring IP65 protection for harsh conditions.
These signaling devices are deployed across manufacturing plants, assembly lines, material handling systems, and automated machinery. They are commonly mounted on control panels, machine frames, or production cells to indicate operational status (running, idle, fault), safety warnings, or material requests. In logistics and warehousing, they guide operators for pick-to-light systems or conveyor status. The modular design suits custom configurations for specific automation needs.
Key subcategories include modular signal towers (e.g., Lovato LO210 series) and standalone beacons. The LO210 series codes typically follow a pattern like LO210-xxx, where xxx denotes module type (e.g., LO210-001 for a basic light module, LO210-010 for sound module). Other relevant articles include LO210-020 for flashing light modules and LO210-030 for continuous sound modules. These are available as individual modules or complete pre-assembled towers.
