SINAMICS V20 drives from Siemens are compact, basic performance converters designed for simple motion sequences in plant and machinery construction. These variable frequency drives cover a power range from 1/6 hp to 40 hp (0.12 kW to 30 kW) across seven frame sizes. They operate on single-phase 200-240 V AC or three-phase 380-480 V AC supplies with wide voltage tolerance. Control modes include V/f, V²/f, FCC, and V/f multi-point. Standard I/O configuration features 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs, and 1 analog output. Integrated communication protocols include USS and Modbus RTU at terminals. The drives offer IP20 degree of protection and are available with or without integrated EMC filters (Category C3). Key features include push-through and wall mounting with side-by-side installation capability, integrated braking chopper for units from 7.5 kW to 30 kW, and a Keep Running mode for uninterrupted operation during voltage dips.
