ÖLFLEX PVC cables with numbered cores represent the backbone of industrial control and power distribution systems. These flexible PVC-insulated cables are designed for fixed installation and occasional flexing in dry, damp, and wet environments. The numbered cores (typically 2 to 25 cores, cross-sections from 0.5 mm² to 35 mm²) simplify identification during wiring and maintenance, reducing installation time and error rates. Rated for voltages up to 500 V (U0/U) and operating temperatures from -5°C to +70°C, they meet VDE and CE standards. The PVC outer sheath provides resistance to oils, UV radiation, and mechanical stress, making them suitable for machine tools, conveyor systems, and switchgear cabinets.
These cables are widely deployed in industrial automation, manufacturing plants, building infrastructure, and energy distribution. They are ideal for internal wiring of control panels, motor starters, PLC cabinets, and signal transmission in factory automation. The numbered cores facilitate quick troubleshooting and reconfiguration in complex installations, especially in sectors like automotive, packaging, food processing, and material handling. Their flexibility and durability also suit applications in HVAC systems, lighting circuits, and power supply lines for machinery.
Key subcategories include ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 100 (standard PVC control cables), ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 (with improved oil resistance), and ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 130 (for higher mechanical loads). Article codes typically follow the pattern: ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 100 3G1.5 (3 cores, 1.5 mm², with ground conductor) or ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 4G2.5. The numbering system indicates core count, cross-section, and special features like shielding or reinforced sheath. These cables are available in cut lengths or full drums, with optional accessories like cable glands and strain relief.
