Fittings Nylofix Plus with Pg thread are a specialized range of cable glands and connectors designed for secure and reliable cable entry in industrial enclosures. These fittings, manufactured from high-grade nylon (polyamide), offer excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation. The Pg (Panzergewinde) thread standard, a historical metric thread widely used in European electrical installations, ensures compatibility with legacy equipment and specific enclosure designs. Key technical features include a wide clamping range for various cable diameters, an integrated sealing gasket for achieving IP68 protection ratings, and a lock nut for secure panel mounting. The Nylofix Plus series is engineered for quick and tool-free assembly, reducing installation time while maintaining a robust, vibration-proof seal.
These fittings are predominantly used in industrial automation, control panels, and electrical distribution systems where cable management and environmental protection are critical. Common applications include routing cables into junction boxes, terminal boxes, switchgear cabinets, and motor control centers. They are particularly suited for environments requiring protection against dust, moisture, and chemical exposure, such as in manufacturing plants, water treatment facilities, and outdoor installations. The Nylofix Plus range is also ideal for use in machinery and equipment where space is constrained, offering a compact and reliable cable entry solution.
The Nylofix Plus category includes a variety of subcategories based on thread size and cable clamping range. Key article codes typically follow a pattern such as "NYL-PG11" or "NYL-PG16", where the number indicates the Pg thread size (e.g., Pg11, Pg13.5, Pg16, Pg21, Pg29, Pg36, Pg48). Each size corresponds to a specific cable diameter range, for example, Pg11 for cables 5-10mm, Pg16 for 10-14mm, and Pg29 for 18-25mm. The range also includes variants with different sealing materials (e.g., EPDM, NBR) and optional accessories like counter nuts and sealing washers. The complete product line covers all standard Pg thread sizes from Pg7 to Pg63, ensuring comprehensive coverage for diverse installation requirements.
