mal funcionamiento

he comprado un termostato 077b7003 para frigorifico y corta muy pronto tiene que estar al maximo para que enfrie, tiene que ver algo la longitud del tubo, este termostato el tubo es mas largo pero llega de al final del alojamiento, y sobra como 8o centimetros en el termostato, puede ser eso la causa, el vendedor me dijo que el largo del tubo daba lo mismo con tal que llegase al final de su alojamiento. diganme que puedo hacer un saludo
