Contactors - DANFOSS INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION
Danfoss contactors are electromechanical switching devices designed for remote control and protection of electrical loads in industrial automation systems. These components operate by energizing a coil to close or open power circuits, handling rated currents from a few amps up to several hundred amps. The range includes standard power contactors for motor control (typically 3-pole configurations for three-phase applications) and compact minicontactors for smaller loads. Key technical parameters include coil voltages (e.g., 24V DC, 230V AC), rated operational currents (Ie) from 2.2 kW to 238 kW, and mechanical endurance exceeding 10 million operations. Auxiliary contact blocks, electronic coil interfaces, and mechanical interlocks are available for system integration.
These contactors are primarily deployed in motor control centers (MCCs), distribution panels, and automated production lines across sectors like HVAC, refrigeration, water treatment, and material handling. They are essential for switching motors, resistive loads, and lighting circuits in industrial environments requiring high cyclic rates and reliable isolation. Typical installations include pump stations, conveyor systems, and compressor units where remote on/off control or interlocking is needed.
The Danfoss contactor portfolio includes the CI-TI series (e.g., CI 4-12, CI 6-12, CI 9-12) for general-purpose switching up to 12A, and the larger CI 25-32, CI 40-63, and CI 80-100 models for higher current applications. Minicontactors like the CI 2.2-4 kW series are used for small motors and auxiliary circuits. Part numbers typically follow a pattern such as "CI X-Y" where X indicates the rated operational current and Y denotes the number of poles (e.g., CI 9-12 for 9A, 3-pole). Accessories include timer blocks (e.g., CI-TI-T), auxiliary contact modules (e.g., CI-AX), and surge suppressors.
At Electric Automation Network, we provide genuine Danfoss contactors with real-time pricing and global express shipping. Our engineering team offers technical support for coil selection, auxiliary configuration, and system integration, ensuring optimal performance for your automation projects.
